CHEC launches the first publication of the CHEC REPORT, an educational newsletter to inform parents how they can safeguard their children from toxins in their environment. The CHEC REPORT also educates grassroots organizations and individuals on the importance of a call-to-action to support the Children's Environmental Protection Act(CEPA). In response to this action alert over 80 national grassroots organizations sign on in support of CEPA.

Tessa Hill, Founder of Kids for Saving Earth Worldwide and author of the CHEC REPORT, with Olivia Newton-John

As a fifth grader Clinton Hill cared deeply about the environment. He believed that children working together could help protect the health and beauty of the Earth. He drew a poster picturing the Earth, its oceans and continents and titled it "Kids for Saving Earth, The Pollution Solution." He started the first Kids for Saving Earth Club with his friends and classmates, a club he hoped would save the Earth. Unfortunately, Clinton was unable to realize his dream. In November 1989, at the age of 11, he died of a brain tumor. Yet his dream lives on through his idea of Kids for Saving Earth (KSE) clubs. The mission of Kids for Saving Earth Worldwide is to educate and empower children of all ages worldwide to unite with friends and take positive, peaceful action to protect Earth's environment. KSE supports the local community efforts of kids by providing educational programs and publications.
