Considered one of the nation's experts in
the field of pesticide risk, Professor Wargo has conducted extensive research
on childhood exposure to complex mixtures of toxic substances, especially
pesticides for the past decade. He is an award-winning author and the
1997 recipient of the American Medical Writers Association Award of Excellence
in Medical Communications for Our Children's Toxic Legacy: How Science
and Law Fail to Protect Us from Pesticides. |

Professor Wargo is an advisor for the World Health Organization on food safety, exposure and risk assessment and an active member of the EPA/USDA Pesticide Tolerance Reassessment Advisory Committee. Additionally, in 1993, he served on the committee to study and assess pesticides in the diets of infants and children, which led to the landmark report published by the National of Academy of Sciences.
