Authored report on forums, Pesticide Use and Misuse: Farmworkers and Small Farmers Speak on the Problem, Rural America, 1980. Co-founder of the National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides (NCAMP), 1981; has been the executive director since 1981; provides policy direction and overall coordination of NCAMP's activities to control pesticides and promote non-chemical alternatives; writer/editor of NCAMP's quarterly newsletter, Pesticides and You, since 1981; editor of NCAMP's monthly Technical Report since 1986; organized NCAMP's National Pesticide Forums held in 1981 and annually since 1984. Provides testimony regularly before the U.S. Congress since 1979. Member, Negotiated Rulemaking Team on emergency pesticide use in the United States, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 1984. Member, Administrator's Pesticide Advisory Committee of the U.S. EPA (a panel of 16 public interest, academic and industry representatives who reviewed and offered comments on EPA's pesticide control program), 1982-83. Member, Lawn Care Pesticide Advisory Committee, EPA, 1992. Featured speaker, Rachel Carson Anniversary Tour of Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo [Japan], 1987.
