Erin Brockovich Ellis is currently the Director of Environmental Research at Masry and Vititoe law firm. The subject of the critically acclaimed 2000 movie, Erin Brockovich, she is credited for spearheading the 1996 environmental lawsuit against Pacific Gas and Electric Company on behalf of 600 members of the Hinkley, California community.

It was her solo investigation of the health of Hinkley residents over three decades that led to the discover of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s illegal cover-up involving contaminated water. Her tireless efforts resulted in a $333 million compensation package, the largest settlement ever paid in a direct-action lawsuit.

Brockovich, the mother of three children, previously tried her hand in the electrical design engineering field as well as the beauty pageant circuit.

Raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Brockovich currently resides in Westlake Village, California and is a former CHEC Advisory Board member. She is the recipient of CHEC’s lifetime achievement award for 2002.
